The regular programs of the organization, the RSV primary school, the hostel, evening coaching centers, the bio-farm, and museum activities continued normally this month. Because of the Sorhae festival, the activities of all the departments of the organization remained closed during the festival days. Some major activities conducted by the organization in the month are given below:

1) Sorhae, the biggest festival, was celebrated in the Santal-populated districts of the country, such as Jharkhand, northern regions of West Bengal, Bihar, Assam and Bangladesh and Nepal. Our two villages, Ghosaldanga and Bishnubati, celebrated the festival with various rituals for five days.

2) RSV school’s annual picnic was at Rindanga near the Kopai river this year. The teachers contributed Rs. 50/ and students Rs. 20/ each for the picnic.

3) We received several guests in the month. Some came just as visitors for a day, and others stayed for one or two days. The Indo-Swedish team headed by Dr Prabir Chatterjee visited RSV School and the museum at Bishnubati.

A group of students came from a music school in Norway. They also sang a song for us, and our teachers sang Santali and Tagore song for them. Mr Christopher Soren from Dumka was the guide of the team.
