Some major activities of the month.

1) Blood donation camp: On the occasion of World Indigenous People’s Day, a blood donation camp was organized at Ghosaldanga. 35 persons from Ghosaldanga, Bishnubati, Ashadullapur, and surrounding villages donated blood. Each blood donor was given a certificate which can be used to avail free blood from any government hospital in times of emergency.

 

 

2) Independence Day: On 15th August, the Independence Day of the country was celebrated in all the educational centers of the organization by hoisting of the flag, speeches, and singing songs and dance performances. At Bishnubati a Tree plantation program was organized, followed by cleaning the campus and a feast for the students and teachers.

 

 

3) Teachers’ training: The teachers’ training program was conducted twice this month. Bhabini Baski, Aruna Majhi, and Soumitra Bhattacharya were the resource persons who conducted workshops on teaching learning materials and making reading primers.

 

 

4) Kick for Help (KFH): Four players of Under 14 and one player of Under 19 gave a trial for the Birbhum district team at Bergram Palli Sevaniketan. Joydhan Murmu, from Under 14 has been selected for the district team.

 

 

5) Raksha Bandhan: Raksha Bandhan was celebrated at RSV school. It is a festival in which the sisters tie an amulet called rakhi on the wrists of their brothers. It signifies the bondage of love and respect for each other. Subhas Mukherjee and his wife Chandni Mukherjee visit our school every year to celebrate the occasion with the students. They prepare the amulets with the students and tie them on each other's wrist.  This year also, they celebrated the occasion with our children.
